Play & Learn at Buhl Park

Welcome to Sandy’s Place at Buhl Park, where learning and play intertwine in an outdoor learning center. As advocates for hands-on exploration, we encourage children to immerse themselves in nature, fostering curiosity and understanding of the environment. While Sandy’s Place is open to the public, occasional closures for special events and educational programming may make the space temporarily unavailable. 

Sandy’s Place is a Nature Explore certified space which means it’s an outdoor area designed to support whole-child development through nature-based activities. Spaces with this certification prioritize natural elements and experiences, such as trees, plants, and wildlife, to promote physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being in children.
