SUMMARY:Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:About Buhl Park’s Summer Camp Program\nWe’re proud to partner with the City of Hermitage to bring this amazing camp to life for our community! \nCamp is 100% outdoors\, every day—so campers should dress for the weather and to get dirty. Days are filled with outdoor fun including sports and recreational games\, arts and crafts\, swimming for grades 3–6\, water days for grades 1–2\, nature lessons\, hikes\, special and community guests\, and unstructured recess time. \nEach shelter group has multiple counselors\, and Program Directors are on-site at the park every day. In addition to regular staff training\, all counselors are CPR and First Aid certified and have passed required background checks. \nIn May\, registered families will receive an email with important information including schedules\, packing lists\, and weather guidelines. \n\nSummer Camp 2026 Program Dates\nMonday – Friday\, 9AM – 3PM \n\nWeek 1: June 8 – June 12\nWeek 2: June 15 – June 19\nWeek 3: June 22 – June 26\nWeek 4: June 29 – July 2 (No camp July 3)\nWeek 5: July 6 – July 10\nWeek 6: July 13 – July 17\n\n\nRegistration\n\nCost: $100 per week\nFull six weeks: $510\nDiscounts available for Hermitage residents\nRegister by April 30 to qualify for monthly installment payments\n\nRegistration opens February 1 and closes May 10. Registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. \nRegistration \nHermitage Residents Registration\n  \n\nCancellations & Refunds\nAll cancellations are subject to the Program Director’s approval. \n\nCancellations must be requested before May 30 to receive a 75% refund minus a $5 administrative fee\nCancellations made after May 30 are not refundable\n\n\nAccommodations\nWe strive to be as inclusive as possible for all campers\, within the capacity of our staff and facilities. Parents or guardians of a child with special needs are encouraged to contact us prior to registering to discuss specific accommodations. \n\nBehavioral Policy\nCampers are expected to have a positive attitude and respectful behavior towards peers and staff. Encouraging others and teamwork is a must. \nBullying\, inappropriate or suggestive behavior including foul language will not be tolerated. Any unacceptable behavior will be officially reported to parents or guardians. If the behavior continues\, your child may be removed from camp. Refunds will not be given in these circumstances. \n\nWeather Policy\nCamp takes place outdoors every day\, and rain does not automatically cancel camp. Each group has an assigned shelter for brief weather interruptions. If forecasts predict significant rain or strong storms\, camp may be canceled. DESCRIPTION:Camp Courage blends fun camp activities with healing support for grieving children. A certified grief specialist is on-site throughout the week to assist youth\, and all staff and volunteers undergo training and background checks for a secure and supportive environment. \nActivities at camp are designed to help kids learn different coping skills\, build resilience and have fun. \n\nTeam building activities\nGames\nArts and crafts\nDecompression time\nExercise\nNature Appreciation\nSnacks provided\n\nEligibility \nTo attend Camp Courage\, children must be in grades K-7 in the 2026-2027 school year and attend school in or reside in Mercer County. \nRegistration Process\n \n\nComplete Application Form from Buhl Regional Health Foundation (application opens Feb 15th) \nCCC will contact you to schedule an interview.\nBuhl Park Registration link will be provided by CCC after step 2 (interview) is completed.\n\nQuestions?
